Job title: Sharepoint Consultant

Contract: September start to March 2025 initially

Hours 37.5 Location: Hybrid 1/2 days in Sheffield or London Offices

Rate: Inside IR35 / Competitive

Sharepoint implementation and migration consultant required for contract assignment with Financial Services organisation.

This is a hybrid role but with the ability to be in the Sheffield office once or twice a week (potentially the role could be based in London) with travel to London (City) office occasionally as and when required.
The successful applicant will be a key part of a small dedicated collaborative project team, who are delivering an Information and Records Management transformation – with Sharepoint as a key technology enabler.

Experience:
• Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer with a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and best practices.
• Proven experience of leading a migration to SharePoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools to support set-up and migration to SharePoint.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of M365 architecture and Entra capabilities to support collaborative working.
• Experience in the full lifecycle of SharePoint projects and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of SharePoint 365 and its functionalities, with relevant certifications.
• Creating a standardised taxonomy and structure for SharePoint solutions.
• Able to handle remediation necessary to enable the migration of content from Azure storage/network drive to SharePoint.
• Able to use Azure storage and virtual machines.
• Understand and able to select appropriate tools to support a SharePoint migration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Nice to have:
• Experience of Microsoft Purview and/or eDiscovery toolsets such as DataBelt, including configuration and best practice operations in support of records management.

Responsibilities:
• Designing, developing, and implementing SharePoint solutions that meet organisational needs.
• Produce technical and architectural documentation for handover to ensure the sustainability of the SharePoint solution.
• Collaborating with a business analyst and various departments to understand their requirements and translating them into efficient, user-friendly SharePoint solutions.
• Provide training and support to staff to help them make the most of SharePoint.
• Be hands-on in the set-up and execution of migrating records, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Providing input to all SharePoint-related work as SharePoint SME for the organisation.
• Identify and work with relevant stakeholders to remediate file linkage, or file size issues that impede the migration of content to SharePoint.

The technical stack you will work with: SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Storage, Azure virtual machine, AIM DataBelt and Microsoft Purview.
Youll be a team player and people person and be able to provide technical expertise in a human way. Be comfortable working with a Business Analyst to really understand and translate business requirements into workable technical solutions with SharePoint as the key enabler.
