The Bridge is partnering with a national Utilities business to recruit an IT Knowledge Management SME. The position is full-time/permanent and can be based at our clients offices which are in Berkshire or Hampshire. The role can be predominantly remote with some travel to our clients offices each month for team building and catch-ups. 

The IT Knowledge Management SME reports to the Head of Service Management and is part of the Service Management team. 

– Through the development and management of an effective and comprehensive Service Knowledge Management System, and associated processes, the person in the role will ensure that the organisation is able to accumulate, manage and leverage knowledge through all aspects of operation and all stages of the service lifecycle.

– The role will utilise a strong background in Knowledge Management to own and be accountable for all aspects of the IT Knowledge Management process (including development, governance, compliance, reporting and continual improvement) regardless of the technology or organisational structure involved.

– Working with the Supplier(s) and other delivery and governance functions to ensure optimisation and continual improvement of Knowledge Management capabilities, this role will act as a point of escalation, approval and decision making.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

– Excellent knowledge/experience of IT Knowledge Management (including a track record of driving the effective consumption and value of Knowledge in Service Desk, Incident Management and other Service Management processes and functions).

– Expertise in the use of Service Management processes and best practice such as ITIL; qualified to ITIL Foundation level (minimum).

– Supplier management experience gained in an outsource or SIAM partnership.

– The ability to leverage strong Stakeholder and Supplier Management skills to ensure effective Service Management.

– Proficiency in the use of ServiceNow (especially the Knowledge Management module).
