DevOps Engineer

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom (Fully Remote with occasional trip to Leeds)

Salary: Up too £50,000 per annum

Are you a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer with a passion for streamlining and automating processes? Do you have experience with AWS, Linux, and Docker? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports our cutting-edge applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

Containerization: Develop and manage Docker containers to facilitate application deployment and orchestration.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI to automate the deployment process.

AWS Management: Utilize your expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more, to optimize our cloud infrastructure.

Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively identify and address issues.

Security: Enhance the security of our infrastructure by implementing best practices, such as IAM policies, security groups, and encryption.

Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to provide support and ensure that DevOps best practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Key Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.

Proficiency in AWS services and a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts.

Solid experience with Linux systems administration.

Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.

Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.

Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ruby) for automation tasks.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a strong desire to collaborate and learn.
