Senior Cloud Engineer / Project Engineer – AWS / Azure
My Leeds based client is looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer with expertise in the field of Cloud technologies – specifically AWS / Azure
As Project Engineer, you will work in the Design and Delivery function completing the analysis, design and engineering work related to implementation requests from Project Delivery and Service Operations teams.
The role will encompass working across multiple projects, more specifically :
• Undertake the planning, estimation, scheduling and implementation of client installations in accordance with designs, standards and patterns
• Install and organise disposal / removal of hardware and software
• Correct malfunctions in installations
• Provide specialist guidance and supervision to less experienced team members
• Produce software builds for loading on to target hardware
• Investigate issues and monitor effectiveness of installation
• Provide technical expertise to enable the configuration of software and system components for systematic testing
• Report on work undertaken providing documentation concerning technical implementation
Technically, the Senior Engineer / Project Engineer will have specialist expertise in the following areas of cloud technologies / infrastructure installation:
• Cloud technologies eg AWS / Azure
• PaaS / IaaS/ Saas
• Experience of configuring, maintaining and migrating services onto Cloud platforms
• Office 365
• Network and Infrastructure security – firewalls, proxy, cloud security, zero trust and Zscaler
• Virtualisation
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, Exchange Online, Intune and Defender of specific interest
